How we work

A simple process with clear steps and steady progress.

No black boxes and no surprises. You see working software every week, decisions are written down, and the plan adapts as we learn.

  1. 1 – 2 weeks

    Discover

We get to the heart of the problem: who it is for, why it matters to the business, and what success looks like.

    What happens

    • Interviews with your team
    • User research
    • Competitor review
    • Review of existing tech

    You receive

    • Product brief
    • Goals to measure success
    • List of risks

    Your involvement

Two or three working sessions with your key decision-makers.

  2. 2 – 3 weeks

    Shape

We turn insight into a clear scope, tested user flows, a technical architecture, and a delivery plan you can trust.

    What happens

    • User journeys & sketches
    • Clickable prototype
    • Technical design
    • Sprint planning

    You receive

    • Prototype
    • First-version plan
    • Roadmap & estimate

    Your involvement

Feedback on prototypes and sign-off on scope and priorities.

  3. 2-week sprints

    Build

We design and build in short sprints with working software at the end of each one, reviewed live with you.

    What happens

    • UI design
    • Frontend & backend development
    • Automated testing
    • Weekly demos

    You receive

    • Working parts of the product
    • Test version to try
    • Sprint reports

    Your involvement

A short weekly demo and quick decisions on open questions.

  4. Ongoing

    Launch & Evolve

We launch with monitoring in place, then measure real usage and keep improving the product as your business grows.

    What happens

    • Production launch
    • Monitoring & support
    • Usage review
    • Planning next features

    You receive

    • Live product
    • Guides & documentation
    • List of next improvements

    Your involvement

Share what users and the business are telling you after launch.

Quality standards

Quality isn't a phase. It's every commit.

These are standard on every project — not extras you pay more for.

Code review

Every change is reviewed by a second engineer before it is merged.

Security built in

Industry-standard security practices, checks on third-party code, and safe storage of passwords and keys.

Accessibility

Screens designed so everyone can use them, following WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines.

Speed targets

Page speed and server response times checked from the first sprint.

Automated testing

Automatic tests run on every change, from small parts to full user journeys.

Clear technical notes and how-to guides, handed over with the product.

FAQ

Questions about how we work.

Can't find what you are looking for? We're happy to answer anything on a quick call.

Ask us a question
How does a project with AlgoTent usually start?

Most projects start with a free, short discovery call to understand your goals. If there is a fit, we propose either a short discovery sprint or a fixed scope for the first phase, with a clear estimate and timeline.

How do you price your work?

We offer fixed-price discovery sprints, milestone-based pricing for well-defined builds, and monthly pricing for dedicated teams. You will always see a detailed estimate before any work begins.

Who owns the code and designs?

You do. All source code, designs, and documentation are yours, and we work in your repositories and cloud accounts from day one whenever possible.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes. We work remotely with clients across time zones, with guaranteed overlapping hours, a shared communication channel, and weekly live demos.

Can you take over an existing product or codebase?

Yes. We start with a technical audit covering architecture, code quality, security, and infrastructure, then agree on a plan to stabilize and improve the product.
